This Holton trumpet is from the early 1920's. Sadly it had its main tuning slide ripped in half from both corrosion an another tech pulling a stuck slide. The slide wasn't stuck, however they forgot to unlock the slide lock oops. During this time the previous tech heated the slides to remove the stuck tube, which is a normal process. Once again however an over sight led to the water key nipple falling off the crook. Today I will be making a new upper outer slide tube and installing a new water key. We will chemically clean this horn and re-align the valves, and save this horn for another 90 years.
